Ingredients:
½ cup shortening
¾ cup sugar
1-teaspoon cinnamon extract
1-teaspoon baking powder
6 tablespoons butter
2-teaspoon cinnamon, ground
3 large eggs
2 cups flour
1-teaspoon baking power
½ pint sour cream
1-cup brown sugar
1-cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions:
Add Cream thoroughly shortening, sugar and cinnamon extract, eggs and beat well, sift together flour, baking powder,Baking powder and add alternately with sour cream. Mix well. Spread ½ batter in the bottom of a greased and lined with baking paper TUBE PAN. Cream together butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Mix well and season half over the batter into the pan. The remaining batter and sprinkle on the remaining nut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
Serves 6
Note: This is a great with cream cheese or powdered sugar frosting / glaze if you prefer cake with frosting / glaze.You can also use a different extract for a little different taste, or even another mother can change it a little and I have made these changes, and they are really good, but this is the best for my family.
